The staff was helpful when I called and even made a reservation for me over the phone. I found a great price online on Hotwire and the staff at thrifty was able to match the price. I would rent from them again.

So, I get to thrifty rental at the airport. I asked the representative to speak with the lady I spoke to last night. She tells me that they don't have a person by that name. So, I explain what the lady told me last night. She tells me that they don't make reservations at the location that I would have to call the reservation line. So after that she ask the girl next to her about the coupon. So the girl next to her is the one I spoke to last night. She says " are you the one I talked to last night." I had a dumb ass look on my face like "ugh yeah." So then she tells me that I have to make a reservation and then bring the coupon in. That's not what she told me last night. Ugh idiots. Then she says I don't know if we will have suv on friday. They need to honor the government discount and free upgrade. The supervisor yells and says we should have some. I told her that I don't want to book if they don't have the free upgrade. The girl kept saying that military has preference. I am military. Idiots!!!! She says well we should have a dodge journey. Customer services is horrible and this my second bad run in with dollar/thrifty car rental.

I reserved my rental a month ago. I get here this morning to pick it up at my scheduled time and im still waiting 40 minutes later. I went out to the car to find that it was extremely dirty. Also there were scratches all over the vehicle that were not marked on the paperwork i was given. The seats had stains. So i am waiting patiently for a vehicle that should have been ready for me at 9 oclock. It definitely is true that you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this rental company to anyone going forward.

Charged my Government Credit Card miscellaneous charges knowing I would have to get it modified and refunded. Don't use this company if you're in the military or DoD. Customer service is terrible.

I needed a 12 passenger van for the weekend. I called The reservation number to reserve a van earlier on Saturday around lunch time. I spoke to a representative named Brenda. I told Brenda that I needed a 12 passenger van and could pick it up at 9pm. She said there was a van and that I could even pick it up by 7 if I wanted to. I had eleven friends planning a trip to Charlotte and these friends were from different parts of the country as well as from other countries. I'm saying this to let you know how important this trip was to me to get it right. Fast forward to 9pm on Saturday, I arrive at the Fayetteville Airport and go to the Thrifty Car booth. I let them know that I was picking up a van. They knew exactly who I was without mentioning my name and said " We don't have it." I asked what do you mean you don't have it. She said " We don't have a van. You booked through our reservation number and they don't know what vehicles we have here." I was so confused as to why you would offer a service to customers that doesn't work. I don't remember the girls at the booth even apologizing. They didn't even try to make it right. The only thing they did was look through their keys to show me there wasn't a van. Needless to say, this ruined our original plans for that night. The next morning, we were able to rent a van from Alamo in the Fayetteville Airport. Alamo's customer service skills and speedy service was appreciated after this disaster. I will end this by saying that I have rented from Thrifty in the past and it was successful, but I don't expect this from a rental company when your only goal is to rent cars successfully. Make sure your reservation is 100% accurate when you reserve a car from here. I wouldn't want this to happen to other customers.
