This company is terrible. It has taken months for us to get anywhere. Endless promises. 2 months my family has lived without a kitchen! I do not recommend anyone use this company

Horrible company. I do NOT recommend Carolina Builders to anyone who is looking for any type of home improvement or remodeling. Made promises to complete the job by a certain date and failed miserably. We signed the contract with the owner of the company, paid 50% upfront and never heard from him. On the first day, they busted a water pipe in the master bathroom causing damage to the carpet and ceiling below. We went on vacation for a week and paid a house sitter only to get two days of work out of the entire week. The project manager did not communicate with us at all; I had to repeatedly call and ask what time/date the workers were going to show up to work each day and what was going to be done. They had multiple projects going on at the same time and not enough workers to do any work; workers would come in and work for a couple of hours and get pulled to go to another site. We did not feel like the priority. Our home was finished over a month late and ended up having to pay a house sitter so the work could be finished. I am so glad that we are done with our project and would NEVER hire them for anything.
I am not sure what is going on with this company, but I strongly suggest anyone looking to remodel or build anything just keep looking elsewhere. This has been the absolute worst experience! This company kept the required 50% deposit without purchasing anything for my project for 90 days.
david anderson took 50%of my money oct,.16th 2015 promising the job would be finished in three months. i have had nothing but lies and promises for three months straight .after calling and calling and lies and lies , i stop calling .no matter when i call, the message was the same, we're out to lunch.finally i stop calling.it is now eight months later and my home is still messed up even after contacting the attorney general's office.this is with out a doubt the absolute worst business i know of. do not trust this company or give them a penny of your hard earn money.you will be bitterly disappointed.the only reason i gave carolina builders one star was to get this posted.
They repeatedly lied, saying materials had been ordered, when they had not. Said they would come on a particular day to begin work, they did not. Worst of all, after exhausting all patience and letting president, David Andrews know; he had my kitchen gutted knowing full well he had never ordered the cabinets for our remodel! I still am not sure what was done with the money, but this company has left my family without a kitchen for 3 weeks, after waiting 90 days for them to even start the project! I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and will also file a complaint with the NC Department of Justice Attorney General for business fraud.
