Kids loved the park, we enjoyed the nature trail
Absolutely lovely. Parks, hiking trails, and a waterfall. Great family or date activity.
This park is tucked away about 4 miles down the Cape Fear River Trail. But accessible by road too. They have a nature center, play ground for all ages and picnic tables. The parking area is a dirt patch that is a short walk across the RR Tracks so use caution as you proceed. The River Trail continues past the park and is well worth the walk.
Employees definitely care about the animals but need help learning to talk and interact with children. They come off unfriendly. We left early because we feel like we were bothering them.
Great Walk we are definitely coming back
