I have had to use this emergency vet 4 times.. the most recent being today! First I must say that some of these reviews leave me scratching my head!!! All these people saying you have to pay upfront... No you don't!!! Not once have I had to pay anything up front... In fact when they give you choices on what you want to do they give you a written up estimate for each thing so you can choose what best suits your budget!! Every single time my pets were taken care of and I never had a problem!!! Yes they are more expensive than a regular vet, however, they are open on the weekends when other vets don't want to work, and things are more expensive that way!!! It's no different than a human going to their own doctor is going to be cheaper than going to the emergency room!!! People you need to get a grip!! There are things such as pet insurance, and Care Credit that help pay for things you may not be able to afford all at once... Same with humans! We treat our pets as if they are our babies and our family members, and so do they!! I don't have a complaint! And just like people complaining about wait times... It is an EMERGENCY VET, they are going to take the more dire cases before simple ones!!! They are kind enough to provide a sign in the waiting area that not only explains that urgent cases will be taken first, but they also provide a sign that says all payments are due in full before you leave! Thank You Animal Urgent Care for taking care of the needs of my pet, and taking time to ensure I can choose the treatment plan that best suits my budget! You do amazing work and don't let other people's negativity drag you down! Now that is not to say that a few people haven't had bad experiences!! I am more talking about people that seem to lack common sense in how your business should be run!!! Thanks again!! Ashlee Hallman

These folks rock! I took my 7 month old Lab today for a major ear infection. I have also taken our other dogs

I should have listened to the reviews. What's the price for your pet's life? Do not bring your animal here. I'm going to petition through the base that this facility be placed on the Fort Bragg blacklist, due to their business practices. If spending $911.79 to bring a sick animal home doesn't scare you, then take the risk. This facility takes advantage of people by playing on their emotions and love for their pet and capitalizes on a bad situation. Everything is about money, (not the health/welfare of your animal), and the prices are astronomical. I brought my cat here last night, because he was having trouble breathing. Right off the bat, I was charged $660.00 just to figure out what was wrong with him. They did chest X-rays, and it was determined that he had fluid/puss in his lungs. They drained the fluid, which I am thankful for, and then slapped me with an outrageous estimate for his continued care. The "worst case" quote they gave me was over $4,000 (if you include the $660.00 I already paid), and the "best case" quote was over $2,200 (including the $660.00) for him to receive treatment through Sunday...AND I would still need to take him to his regular vet on Monday. There is nothing they did that should have cost that much money. I understand that this is an emergency veterinary facility, and was prepared for higher prices, but not this high! My cat's treatment plan essentially consisted of supportive care and administration of antibiotics/oxygen. When I was given the quote I replied "I can't pay that. I can't afford any of that. Just give me antibiotics. I'm taking him home. If he's going to die, I'd rather him die at home with his family." Everything they were trying to charge us for, except the oxygen, I could do for him at home. The Vet Tech acted condescending and rude towards me when I told her I was taking him home and literally said "well, I guess we'll just see what happens then". As if I want to to take my baby home and make that decision. I was so angry and hurt that his life and well-being essentially boiled down to greedy people who were trying to take advantage of us and the situation. Then the vet said "we have Care Credit and you could get a loan for his treatment." I looked at her and said, I have three kids. I already know about Care Credit, because that one (pointing towards my daughter) has braces I'm already paying for. My daughter's entire two year braces treatment program didn't cost as much as two nights for my cat to be cared for in this facility. I love my cat, but I can't pay that much money for a vet bill. I ended up paying another $251.79 for his antibiotics/fluid drainage treatment, rounding out the night with a $911.79 total bill, just to bring my sick cat home where he might die anyway. He is doing better today. I hope he pulls through it this weekend.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of our Chase Madison. You were caring, kind, and patient. You helped us to get Chase back on his paws. He was a sick boy and thanks to you, he is back to his old self. Keep up the good work. And thanks again.

I do not recommend this place last night our dog went their after a surgery because she needed a blood transfusion and the vet called the doctor on call said we can do the transfusion and have the blood to do it. We got quoted the price. We get their and waited 45 minutes before the doctor came in and he said that he didn't have the blood. Said we can pick it up and he said he will be right back and then as soon as he came in the back and then said honestly we dont do blood transfusion. We were trying to explain the situation and he was cutting us off and seemed to not care. Our dog died last night because of it all.

there for emergency care, some of it very serious. It's super clean in there, very welcoming, and the staff and Vets are super caring. I called this am and they said we do "walk ins" . I got there and smooth as silk. Very detailed care. I love these guys. Last year, I found a bird in my yard, it had been attacked, I took it there, regrettably, it could not be helped, and they had to put it to sleep but stopped everything they were doing to help me and the bird. I am grateful they are available .
