Would not recommend coming here, unless your visiting a loved one or friend. Staff very unhappy, very cold people. They never answer your questions and never offer help. Very rude, I understand you work in a terrible place but please don't treat the family members like garbage.
The jail is a jail. It serves a purpose. If it were averaging anything higher than two stars I'd be worried that public safety were at risk.
Reading reviews of a jail is interesting. I don't expect to anyone who's been to any jail to give a jail any rating. You're reviewing a place designed to house those accused or convicted of crimes. It's not supposed to be an Embassy Suites. It's not going to be a top tier hospital. It's not going to have good customer service and friendly staff.
My boyfriend sat in that jail 2months before he got a real court date the took him to court three times but never seen a judge
Is your review supposed to warn people not to go to that jail? Is it supposed to garner you sympathy from the public? Okay, fine. Now that I see you rated this jail one star I'll make sure I don't commit a crime in Cumberland County.
I pay taxes, the state is paid for my son"S housing. Really!!!!!Robbing my boy for sick visits.put in grievance yeah he got letter saying no xray Paralyzed from a bullet to his L2 in his spine. He has 3 bullets,a rod in his leg right (broke ankle happened right before he went in).of course that has not been checked in 6 months of sitting there bed sores, no x ray for his swelling feet. Why even prisoners especially diabled need care. Next...
If you feel your human rights were violated you should file a lawsuit.
the worst excuse for a "correction " facility! they don't have a psychiatrist there to treat any inmate with mental problems, and haven't had one for weeks...they changed medical providers and before the new company started their old docs/nurses didn't give any help: i caught mrsa while in ccdc, and put a sick call in about it a few days after it started. it took over 48hours and me having to yell to the pod officer that i had a sore that was bleeding before anyone even looked at it...then all they did was put a bandage over them for 3 days before 1 nurse realized that i had a SERIOUS illness and called the doctor. he didn't even come check me out!! all he said to the nurse was to take a sample and bandage back up!! finally 6days after they first saw me, the new company checked me and instantly started me on meds and told me what i had...and it now costs $20 for a sick call visit...80% of their employees don't care about anyone, and treat inmates with disrespect/racism/spite, i know it sounds cliche but anyone who spends more than a couple hours in there KNOWS how terrible and corrupt that place is...oh yeah and their food portion is child sized, so you have to spend major money on canteen just to not starve daily ($0.85 per ramen soup/$3.85 4oz pouch of chicken/$2 4-tortilla shells/$4.85 box of oatmeal) as well as astronomical prices for hygiene and clothing
If your boyfriend spent any more than 24 hours in that jail then you need a new boyfriend and you need to reconsider where you're meeting guys.
