I've been going to Mercedes of Fayetteville for the past 3 years to have services preformed on my C300. I must say that the service department is absolutely wonderful. Sorry that I cant say the same for the sales team. I was in the market for a new car and searching online I seen that they had the car that I was looking for and the price wasn't to bad. I go there and I meet with a sales lady I didn't care to remember her name because she was so rude when I was trying to talk to her about the price of the car. I asked to speak to the sales manager and over comes some fast talking guy that only cared about making a sale. He comes over and gives me a bogus apology for the lady and says she is his top salesman and she has been working for 8 days straight and that day was suppose to be her day off and he had to call her in so she was really tired. Keep in mind they aren't even open on Sunday and this conversation that he and I were having was taking place on a Monday. I looked at him in disbelief because the lie was very unprofessional and not called for. Then he sends me in with some other guy that did the paperwork and wasn't very personal at all he did his job but his people skills were at a 2-3. I gave them two stars only because of the young man that helped me get settled in the car William Knott everyone in that dealership could take some lessons from this young man. His professionalism was beyond reproach and I cant thank him enough for all of his help and kindness. As for everyone else on the sales team after watching them stand around in their little groups not even giving eye contact or trying to ensure that your experience was a good one you are a terrible representation of Mercedes Benz you guys are more like by here pay here salesmen and I hate that I found the car that liked at this dealership because I DID NOT want to purchase from them. In the future I will never consider giving these people my money and everyone that reads this be advised take the extra drive down to Mercedes of Cary it will be worth the drive and you have a first class experience.
The used car buying experience was essentially positive here. The staff was professional and straightforward with the sale process. We experienced a problem immediately with the vehicle and the dealership went the extra mile to correct the issue. The reason for the 3 star rating is that we were enticed to take a test drive with an online $25 gift card offer when we accessed the dealer's website. We took the time to complete the pre-drive online forms and followed up with our sales rep several times but never received the gift card. Of course, this is a small amount so the amount is irrelevant. It's the principle that this business would participate in an apparent scam to generate traffic to their dealership.
