Your correct I do get what I pay for. No paint job needed, just purchasing colored OEM plastic replacements. Can't even call it a paint job. I'm glad I went elsewhere, thank you for not giving me the time for an actual quote.
(Owner's Response) "One thing I would like to suggest is to ask the other shops 1) What "Grade" of paint they will be using? 2) are they going to "tape" all trim and accessories? i.e. bumpers, lights, grills, mldgs? or removing them like the factory? Will they offer a lifetime guarantee like we do? Remember, "you get what you pay for."
So later finished with both Gerber and Caliber and both quoted me at $1000-1200. The funny thing is they both informed me that the car comes OEM ABS colored plastic. So there will be no paint job, just purchasing new OEM colored plastics from manufacturer.
As a prior owner of a aviation and automotive detailing business I don't trust my vehicles with just anyone. Especially with something as important as paint and body work. I recently was in a fender bender and needed some pair and body work done to the bumper. I shopped around prior and while allens isnt the cheapest in town I felt he was the most knowledgeable and experienced and the price was still competitive. Every interaction I've had with them the customer service was great and while they worked on my car they offered daily picture updates on the website so I could see the status in real time!
Walked in for an estimate, didn't even look at my car, I just said front end has minor damage and paint the entire car. Was told immediately $3500.00. Your not even going to look at the car? "I am from the security camera." Wow! So I said if I bring my Escalade here would that be $3500.00 as well...No they start at $4000.00, and 4 door sedans start at $3500.00. I brought a quarter of a car Smartcar Fortwo. and I'm already quoted at $3500.00.
Will use them again if the need ever arises.

*Dale Paint and Auto Body Repair quoted me at $800.00 for repairs and painting the entire car. Their rating from Google is 4.6 out of 5 stars, last I checked.
They did pretty good work. It was quicker than I'd expected which was nice. Cost a little more than I'd prefer but whatever.

This is a great place, I took my car in had everything looked at and fully explained to me so I knew the quality of work I was paying for. I even got my car back a lot sooner than expected and received it cleaner inside and out than it came in. I've been in and out of shops (MAACO, Peaches, etc, too cheap and poor quality and the big corporations just want your money). Allens is definantly my "go to" shop for anything
