I have been coming to this Pep Boys for over 4 years now and I consider myself to be a regular. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly at this shop and through it all, this location is by far the BEST store there is out there. I've been taking my same vehicle to get serviced and the quality of service is exceptional. Their location puts them in the heart of business where customers are constantly coming in and out. With those dynamics you are bound to get your share of aggressive personalities from customers. Despite that, I have ALWAYS observed complete professionalism from the staff. Additionally, I've been to at least 7 other Pep Boy locations across the country within the past two years (Texas, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama) and none of those other locations give the care and offer detail like this store. They take the time to offer you the best solution and at a reasonable price. I drive a Lexus and while the dealership would seem the idea repair shop, I only trust this Pep Boys to give me an honest detailed quote; they care.
The waiting time should be a lot shorter for someone who took the time to schedule an appointment. I also don't appreciate being charged a $50 to remove my tires because my tire lock was removed out of my car from a previous service. I have taken my car to competitors in the area and none of them ever charged a fee. 10 September we waited for two of their front counter people to acknowledge we were waiting for assistance. Another couple was behind us waiting also. It took for me to interrupt their personal conversation just to get some assistance.
My husband and I made an appointment for 21 August for new brakes. We waited 5 hours for the brake job to be completed even though we made an appointment in advance. When we got the car back while driving away we noticed a weird sound but figured it was the new brakes adjusting since the Tech took the car for a test drive before giving the car to us. When the weird sound did not stop we decided to bring the car back to inspect the brakes and an oil change. I made an appointment for this visit and it took 2 hours just to have the car pulled into the bay to begin work. During this second visit a different technician found a circle shaped metal piece in the brake area. Since this sound was there from day one this leads me to believe the first tech to work on the brakes did not check to make sure the brakes were properly installed without any foreign objects that could cause damage.
On 1 October my husband told me he noticed my rear right tire was wobbling while he was following behind me. He took a look at my tire and noticed only put 4 of the 5 lug nuts on car tires. Pep boys was the last place that touched the tires on our car. My husband also saw a broke stud the lug nut screws on to. This concerns me since this is now a matter of safety. We would have never known the tire was not secure if my husband didn’t notice. Since every time we have taken the car to Pep boys we end up having another issue after they fixed a problem they caused we are now forced to take our car to another business and pay them to fix yet another issue caused by this company.
This location by far provides the best customer service! The staff is very helpful and knows a lot about what they are doing! I’ve had great service done on my car and Al in the commercial department has always been able to make great recommendations for my friends and I when it comes to problem solving with our vehicles.
We needed pour shocks replaced. They replaced then the same day and had a great deal. Friendly customer service as well.
There's a few choices for car care, and each has things to offer. This location has been very consistent with the customer care that makes them stand out from their competition. I am glad to share the parts department praise too. Any question you ask will be answered without judgement and an offer of parts will be available.
My entire family brings their vehicles here for repair, to include my grandparents. Orlando and Pam are two of the constant faces I see in the shop and they are always friendly and resourceful. If you want a quality service with a local shop in fayetteville that you can trust to get the job done and not have you leaving with buyer's remorse, this is the place for you! Trust me!
This Pep Boys location is not fulfilling the legacy of Manny, Moe & Jack according to the Pep Boys Story website. There is a passage stating "with almost 20,000 friendly and knowledgeable associates living the legacy of Manny, Moe & Jack, Pep Boys' vision is to be the best place to shop and care for your car." My experience proves there is a lack of knowledgeable and friendly associates. This is the worst place to shop and care for your car. Please let this review save you future repeat visits, extra costs and severe headache from aggravation of trying to re-fix something which should have been fixed once. They are ruining the Vision of the original founders. I'll shop elsewhere and so should you.
