I have lived at other apartment communities and none compare to West Park Apartments. The leasing staff are great, always willing to help and friendly. Maintenance staff are 5 star. John is always taking care of the property and always pleasant.
The place is beautiful, nice amenities and definitely in a quiet area. With that being said, everything is it disclosed. These people told me my app fee would be waived if I decided to apply whether online or in person. I leave and take some time to think about it then do the app online. It says I have to pay $50 so I call them and let them know, they say don't worry about it so I go ahead and pay it and get approved. I then decide to go elsewhere for residence and ask for my $50 back. They then tell me that I don't get it back. They said even if I did it in person and never had to pay anything and decided to go elsewhere, they would charge me a $50 debt to them. None of this was disclosed prior to me doing the app and it's completely unprofessional and dishonest. I'm not gonna miss $50 but it's the principle of the whole thing. If you start out hiding things, that says a lot about how the tenure will be. If you like your money, don't go here.

Problems began immediately after move-in.

There's more, but we're at the character limit.
1. The week after we moved in, three (3) different tenants told us about the shady business etiquette emulated by the staff and company.
2. Requested to reserve the private theater room - TWO (2) months in advance - for their customary $100/nightly fee. It was for one of the most popular nationally televised Pay-Per-View events in years. Their Management staff at the time (July-Sept. '17) said "you're the first to request that night for the room, but I have to check with my upper management before I can authorize it, because I think we might host the event as a company for the community." In the agreement, if the company nor any tenants have the room reserved at the time of another tenant's request, the room is free to reserve. However, I checked with Mgmt every two weeks up to the night of the event and they said "we don't know yet what we're doing." Needless to say, my fiancé got a text from Mgmt THE DAY BEFORE stating that someone was asking to reserve it and that if we wanted it we could pay now - AFTER we had already made other plans.
That's over $100 in extra monthly charges, if you DON'T have a pet, or $1200 for the year they've sucked you in.

"All-inclusive" price, 2-bdrm: $920.
If you want to live the life live at West Park Apartments. I love this place.

3. The owner uses cheap methods and weak construction material. Walls are paper thin (1/8" drywall as opposed to 3/4" drywall, house appliances are easily worn or deteriorated, wiring placement is backwards, thin carpeting and obviously pulled back and re-secured after each move-out, slow maintenance even on serious issues, and more - but it all looks nice and cozy from the outside so that's okay right? Beauty really only is skin deep here.
4. NONE of this would be an issue if I wasn't paying well over $1K for a $700/month 2-bedroom apartment. They sell their applicants on the illusion of "all-inclusive," meaning "you get the whole thing - Internet, Cable, Trash pickup, everything - for only one price!" Wrong. I was too stupid in haste to verify before move-in, Here's an example:

Absolutely love this complex. It's Very CLEAN , peaceful and quiet , diverse community considering it being a military friendly complex. The management is super helpful & friendly and shows intrest to make sure you're squared away from the first time you come in & throughout your stay here. All the amenities such as the gym , game room ,movie theatre, dog park , playground , pool and the ground keeping are always kept up to par. Here at West Park it's environmental friendly; there are recycling dumpsters available. And last there's always event gatherings to look forward to in the club house such as pool parties and social events to get you out of your apartment with refreshments provided. Great place, very fun and enjoyable staying here.
I really like West Park, when my husband and I were signing the lease there was a little miscommunication but after everything got cleared up it's been a breeze. We were able to get a sweet special thankfully, Alli has always been helpful and knows us by first name. The staff is very friendly, they have parties for residents, adult and child friendly. They always have freshments in the club house (fresh cookies, water, Starbucks machine), very quiet and clean neighborhood, valet trash pick up which is very convenient and recycling ♻️.
